Potential is a terrible thing to have. I don’t want any of it, but I have it. It’s awful, maybe you know how it feels because you have it too. Expected to do something, expected to be exceptional. Potential means nothing, it means I am not living as what I could be living as. I want greatness, I want Your power, I want to live in freedom, strength and faith. Fearless writer of right and truth. Mover of strongholds, bringer of fire. Disrupter, accident creator and changer of fate.
– Josh Larkin
I wrote about Josh in the previous post When Tragedy Strikes. One of my Facebook friends posted a short essay Josh wrote just a few months ago, and this quote was part of it. I couldn’t help but share it.
I knew Josh; I, too, went to Taylor. It is so cool how his story, or parts of it, have made it out from the “bubble” that Taylor seems to be known for! I find it amazing that his wisdom and passion for God (clearly shown in his quote) can still be felt even though he is gone.
God Is Good.
